Good news for fintechs!
Yesterday, BACEN published Public Consultation Notices 72 and 73/2019 which deal with SANDBOX and OPEN BANKING, respectively.
The sandbox was born as a response to the challenges associated with financial products and services that are based on innovative techniques and infrastructures. Its aim is to relax regulatory requirements for a limited period in order to allow companies to test their financial services and products with a small group of customers.
Open banking is a way of sharing information, services and products from the financial system, for the benefit of society and at the discretion of the citizen, because many people are linked to just one bank. Open banking is nothing more than an open world within the financial system, in which customer information, at their discretion, can flow wherever they want, which will enable access to other types of services, not just those available in their relationship bank.
